RUNNING GREAT EVENTS
One way to keep the Members coming back and enticing new people to be part of the sport is to run great events!
Friendly volunteers, a good range of healthy food options, clean bathrooms and a liberal dose of commonsense go a long way towards producing a good event!
Karting competes against a myriad of other sports – many of which take up no more than two or three hours on a Saturday – or one night during the week. As we know, Karting can be notorious for being entire weekend affairs.
For club events, don’t be afraid to try new race formats:
- split your race days into mornings and afternoons
- hold ‘all junior days’ and ‘all senior days’
- if you’re fortunate enough to have lights – try a midweek night race meet during the warmer months
There are no shortage of ways in which you can change up the traditional way of going racing and giving members a feeling of value from their racing.
