Getting People Racing

“Bring a Mate” is exactly as it sounds – Karting Australia is encouraging Clubs and their Members to hold a Bring a Mate day.

Bring a Mate needs essentially two types of people:

  • A currently licensed “Junior” or “Senior” Driver who will provide the equipment for their “MATE” to use; and
  • A friend or acquaintance of the licensed Driver – their MATE, who is interested to experience the thrill and excitement of driving a competition kart on a real race track.

Local kart shops are encouraged to be involved in Bring a Mate also to encourage new clients.

Key elements of the “Bring a Mate” Karting Experience:

The BRING A MATE program is about having fun, learning about the sport of karting and safely exploring the fun and excitement of a competition kart

MATES must be in the year of the twelfth (12th) birthday or over.

As MATES are new to the sport they are only permitted to drive “ENTRY LEVEL KARTS”: KA4 Junior, KA4 Senior, KA3 Senior, TaG Restricted and Endurance (4 Stroke.)

Karting Australia’s full insurance cover supplied

All Mates will be issued with a single day Bring A Mate Licence
